On behalf of the Organising Committee I warmly invite you to attend the Concrete Institute of Australia’s Biennial National Conference (Concrete 2013) to be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Queensland from 16 to 18 October, 2013.
A particular invitation is extended to our international colleagues.
The broad theme of the conference is “Understanding Concrete”, covering materials, research, design, construction and innovation. The conference will provide a forum for the sharing of ideas and experience through formal presentations, industry displays and informal contact between delegates. It will be the concrete industry’s pre-eminent technical and social event in the Southern Hemisphere for 2013.
The technical program will be of value to practicing Civil and Structural Engineers, Engineering Academics, Concrete Product Manufacturers, Civil and Building Contractors, Developers, Government Departments covering Transport, Roads, Railways and Public Works and Local Government Shires and Councils.
The Organising Committee encourages you to participate in the conference by attending, by presenting, by displaying your product or service in the accompanying trade exhibition or by becoming a conference sponsor.
The venue (Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre) is conveniently located near the heart of Broadbeach in South-East Queensland, one hour from the State capital, Brisbane. The region spans Beenleigh and South Stradbroke Island to the north; Cabarita and Kingscliff in the south; and west to Beaudesert. It offers many opportunities to experience the Gold Coast’s easy living lifestyle with 70 kilometres of sun, sand and surf at your doorstep or 100,000 hectares of world heritage listed rainforest just a short drive away. For more information about the Gold Coast please visit Gold Coast Tourism.
We hope that you will join us on the Gold Coast in October 2013 for Concrete 2013.
